Students visit media and job skills companies on educational trip
2026-10-20
Fourth-year students from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information Technology at the University of Human Development (UHD) visited two major firms in Sulaymaniyah today, 20 October 2026. The educational trip included visits to the Rudaw Media Network—specifically its multimedia section—and the BALLU Agency, which provides advertising, digital marketing, and production services.
This academic trip was organised as part of the Career Development Skills module. This compulsory module for university students in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq aims to help them develop industry-relevant skills and enhance their future employability.
Lecturer Parwa Omar Muhammed, who organised the trip, accompanied the students to both companies. She guided them through the various departments, providing them with a first-hand look at their inner workings and the opportunity to learn from industry experts.
