UHD signs MoU with STEP-Iraq

The University of Human Development (UHD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with STEP-Iraq on 22 June 2026 to boost career prospects for its students.
STEP-Iraq is a national company dedicated to the well-being and development of children and young people in society. It is based in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
Under the agreement, UHD and STEP-Iraq will work together on projects and training courses in leadership, communication, action planning, CV writing, interview techniques, community projects, etc.
The signing ceremony took place at UHD in the presence of the university's President, Prof. Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed, the President's Assistant for Financial Affairs, Asst Prof. Dr Hiwa Abubakir Ali, and the President's Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj.
The university was represented by Asst Prof. Dr Hiwa Abubakir Ali, who is also the Acting Director of the Career Development Centre at UHD, and STEP-Iraq was represented by Mr Rahim Amin Hassan, the Country Director of STEP Organisation.
UHD works on various schemes aimed at enhancing job opportunities for its students. It has established a career centre and collaborates with local and national institutions and organisations. The current Memorandum of Understanding is part of that effort.
