UHD at the 10th Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Final

The University of Human Development (UHD) team from the College of Science and Technology once again appeared in the final round of the Huawei ICT Competition, this time the 10th Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Final, in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, on June 5, 2026.

Kaziwa Kawa from the Information Technology Department secured Third Place in the Computing Track.

Over 220,000 university students and faculty members from more than 2,000 institutions across over 100 countries and regions participated in the competition. Out of this number, 177 teams from 49 countries and regions advanced to the Global Final and received awards. Iraq was among those countries, and UHD was among the participating and winning universities.

The Huawei ICT Competition is an annual event held for university students, aiming to showcase and enhance students' information and communications technology knowledge and practical skills. The competition is initially conducted at the state level. Successful students then participate at the regional level, with those who win traveling to China to compete in the final rounds for prizes, including the Grand Prize, First, Second, and Third Prizes, along with other honourable awards.

In the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Global Final, UHD won the First Prize. In the subsequent year's competition, UHD competed successfully for prizes awarded at the Global Final closing and awards ceremony. Click here for more details.
