Dr Ali Qaradaghi chairs UHD Trustees and Presidential Council strategy meetings

On 31 August 2026, the University of Human Development's Board of Trustees and the Presidential Council held important meetings ahead of the new academic year. Professor Dr Ali Qaradaghi, Head of the university's Board of Trustees and President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, chaired and presided over the agenda of the meetings. Assistant Professor Dr Hiwa Abubakir Ali, the University's Acting President and President's Assistant for Financial Affairs, and Professor Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj, President's Assistant for Scientific Affairs, were present at the meetings.

The meetings focused on issues related to the development of the university's curricula and research to better respond to society's needs and the country's growth. Study courses across the various academic departments need to accommodate more of the latest innovations in science and technology, as well as the recent changes and developments in the field of law and other social sciences, and propose ideas for the improvement and betterment of all fields of study.

The learning environment at the university and students' well-being and preparedness with knowledge and experience were other areas the meetings focused on. Professor Qaradaghi expressed his views for the future of the university and presented his recommendations on what can be done and should be prioritised in the university's plan for the new academic year.

The University of Human Development believes that annual reviews of the university's performance in all areas are important for improvement, further development, and coping with the new needs and challenges the job market presents to the university's graduates.
