A University of Human Development (UHD) delegation paid a formal visit to the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), where they were received by AUIS’s new President.

The UHD delegation consisted of UHD President Professor Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed; President's Assistant for Financial Affairs Asst Professor Dr Hiwa Abubakir Ali; President’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs Professor Dr Anwar Muhammed Faraj; and UHD Head of International Affairs and Media Office Asst Professor Dr Ahmed Omer Bali. The visit, which took place on 12th June 2025, aimed not only to congratulate Dr Wahab on his inauguration as the new president of AUIS but also to discuss the bilateral academic relationship between the two universities.

UHD has collaboration agreements with government agencies and a significant number of public and private educational institutions within and outside the country. It conducts joint academic activities aimed at enhancing knowledge and science and supporting society. The fact that both UHD and AUIS are located in the city of Sulaymaniyah should make it easier for both institutions to promote their relationship and hold joint academic ventures.
