Zanst Private High School in Sulaymaniyah paid a visit to the University of Human Development today, 6 March 2024. The Students Unit, the office in charge of student affairs at UHD, prepared an agenda for Zanst high schoolers to make the most of their time while at UHD.

At Professor Dr Ali Qaradaghi Hall, students listened to a short presentation about UHD colleges and departments which was delivered by Asst Prof. Dr Ahmed Hama-Ghareeb Abdullah, director of UHD Media Office. Then came a speech by Asst Prof. Dr Suhaib Mustafa Taha, dean of the College of Languages. Dr Taha talked about certain topics related to university life, students’ expectations of university education, and their choice of university and study courses. He advised them and asked them to be aware of their choices since they directly affect their future.

Following the speeches, the visiting students toured the UHD campus and explored its various learning and entertainment facilities, including the medical labs and the football pitch. The visit allowed those high schoolers to learn about UHD and interact with university students and faculty members. It helps them to be better prepared and make informed decisions for their future university education.

Another part of the visit was a meeting between the UHD President Professor Dr Mariwan Ahmed Rasheed and the headmaster and senior teachers at Zanst Private High School. They discussed several issues related to education in Kurdistan and presented to each other their institution’s logo plaque.
